Vertical integration is a business strategy in which a company controls multiple stages of its production process and supply chain. Companies that are vertically integrated can minimize or eliminate the need to rely on outside entities such as manufacturing and transportation. During this lecture we will explore how a pharmaceutical company benefits from a supplier adopting this strategy.

About the speaker

Nick Boelen is a biopharmaceutical engineer who studied at Delft university of technology and Leiden university. He has worked in the biopharmaceutical industry for 7 years in technical sales roles. Nick Boelen is a strong advocate for single-use technologies and has designed, implemented and evaluated countless systems.

Since 2023 Nick Boelen is spearheading the single-use technologies branch of M-Filter.
