Developments in Single Use Technology to enable facilitation of PUPSIT in compliance to Annex 1

About the lecture 

With the Revisions to Annex 1, Contamination control throughout the single use assembly is a must – but there is now a critical focus on Sterility downstream of the final sterile filtration step and also on the functionality and integrity of the final filter itself (PUPSIT). Many aspects and considerations need to be factored in – such as ergonomics and size of the single use manifold to enable sterility to be robustly offered on the sections downstream of the filter.

About the speaker

Graeme is the Single-Use Technology Product Manager for Parker Bioscience, in the UK. Graeme has worked in the biopharma industry for his entire career. His early work focused on manufacturing antibodies for forensic and analytical testing, followed by some time in academia. Over the course of his career , he has held positions in R&D, project management and product support roles being heavily involved in single use product development (including a disposable chromatography platform).  As Single-UseTechnology Product Manager, Graeme is focused on developing Parker’s single-use technology platform and creating robust solutions to enable manufacturers improve quality and accessibility of biopharmaceuticals.
